Made with 100% Scottish grown Concerto barley, peated to 156ppm and distilled in 2012, was released in 2018 with a total of 12000 bottles. Octomore 09.2 spent four years in American oak, followed by a year in the finest French oak from the Bordeaux region.

Tasting note

Nose: Heavily peated, for sure. But also earthy, red wine notes, bordering on dunnage warehouse with a whiff of well-worn Wellingtons.

Taste: Full bodied and rather sweet and dry. Heavy on the earthy wood smoke. White pepper. Vanilla and dark caramel. Overall earthy and dry.

Finish: Medium long finish. In the end red wine tannins and oaky astringency.
